OSHA Suspends E-Recordkeeping Rule

OSHA has suspended the rule requiring firms to report injury and illness data electronically. The rule took effect Jan. 1 and included a July 1 submission deadline, but the agency posted the following language to its recordkeeping and reporting requirements page:

“OSHA is not accepting electronic submissions of injury and illness logs at this time, and intends to propose extending the July 1, 2017, date by which certain employers are required to submit the information from their completed 2016 Form 300A electronically. Updates will be posted to this web page when they are available.”

Greater Boston Chapter spoke at the university in December to promote the Chapter and the benefit of networking and the scholarship opportunities. Winnie Chin, ASSE Student Section President was instrumental in the success of this event.
